Klinta Reinholde

Born: 28 August 1994

Born in Dobele, Klinta Reinholde graduated from Dobele Secondary School No. 1 (2007) and Dobele State Gymnasium (2013). After graduating from the Dramatic Theatre Acting Course at the Latvian Academy of Culture in 2017, she became an actress at Valmiera Theatre. She furthered her education in the Czech Republic at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts (October 2015 – February 2016).

In fairy tales, one might write: fragile and slender as a graceful willow branch. With enormous dark eyes, from which lightning can flash in her roles, or deep tenderness can flow. It is fascinating to follow the energy of this young artist, as in every role it surprises with its own character and direction. Klinta Reinholde possesses an intriguing duality—a playful, youthful lightness combined with an observant and thoughtful depth.

Klinta’s acting range is broad—she is equally capable of portraying a young woman with the gentleness of linden blossoms, yet with inner strength, longing for a home and love, like Krista in Next Spring; a woman awakening into a new feminist consciousness, like Regīne in Mrs Alving; a completely wild and bold young woman like Mairead in The Lieutenant of Inishmore, about whom Klinta herself says: “I am not some little princess or fragile soul here”; as well as a coldly self-confident, weary young woman like Elizabete Tushina in Demons. After Dostoevsky. She can also embody a fierce, rebellious seventeen-year-old, a person determined to follow her own path from a completely different era, like Vizma in We, Rock, Sex and the USSR.

“I am very happy that I am still being given roles of quite young girls. As long as I can, I want to experience this period while I still can. Mothers and grandmothers will come later,” says Klinta.

And there is more—Klinta writes poetry. For now, only for herself. She is also a cinephile and has already gained a certain amount of experience performing in films and television series.
