LAIPOTĀJI

The performance explores, through physical theatre and direct interaction with the audience, the synthesis of ambition and insatiable appetite in a deeply human story about people striving to climb higher in life. They want to reach the very top, the ultimate peak — whatever that may be. The acting is enhanced by expressive masks which, together with dynamic body language, create a grotesque performance style that will captivate even the most demanding theatre-goers. Join us for a story about relentless “balancing” — moving forward, climbing upward, overcoming hardships, surpassing others, stepping over bodies — in a witty and laughter-filled production, Laipotāji.

The production will premiere on August 7 at the Valmiera Summer Theatre Festival, and from August 21 it will join the repertoire of Valmiera Theatre.
